Jomtien, Thailand
Thailand has been a pleasure ground for millions of visitors for many decades and Pattaya/Jomtien its first
true beach resort. Thailand is also known for its wonderful and smiling people, and tolerance of others that
is unseen anywhere else in the world.
Jomtien is located about 170 kms. from Bangkok, Thailand and 3 kms. south of the resort of Pattaya and has
become Thailand's main gay playground offering a range of accommodation and entertainment on and near
the famous “Gay Beach”. Jomtien has now built up with many apartments/condominiums, many owned by
Westerners who live part or the whole year round, which means there is never a dull moment - in fact quite
trendy! Pattaya caters predominantly for the straight tourist and has become rather popular with tour groups
which is why Jomtien is more “gay-friendly” and the choice base for most discerning gay visitors.

Gay Beach
The gay beach—the only one known as such in Thailand or in Asia stretches for 1.5 km. Lined with pine
trees, it is the perfect place for a relaxing day sipping a fresh fruit juice or a cocktail, having a manicure, a
massage, a snack or fresh seafood. The sea stretches to the nearby islands pf Koh Larn. It is also the
main gathering point for young Thais who play volleyball showing off their beautiful sculpted bodies - a
real catwalk on the sand!
The weather is best from November to April, but you get sun all year around—in fact many prefer the off
season as it is not so crowded and still sure to get a tan and have fun.
Gay Village
The “Gay Village” is located 150 metres from the beach and has many gay-owned or gay-managed
businesses catering for all types. Even though there are other entertainment venues in the Pattaya area,
Jomtien has now become a favourite destination for its easy access to the beach, its hassle free
reputation and its quality of establishments for the gay visitor. Several guesthouses, hotels, long term
apartment rental are available. Restaurants are plentiful, so are al fresco bars, shops and nighttime
entertainment venues, as well as food stalls, shops and a market. Whether daytime or nighttime, it is the
place to be at and to be seen, and of course have a lot of FUN!!!
